I've done 2 12 hours shifts this weekend in the middle of a 12 day stretch of work. Sometimes I wonder whether overtime is worth it..
Hope you've all been making the most of your weekends!

My bloke has pretty much refused all overtime apart from one day per month because he decided being at home was more important, more fun, less stressful, and there is wine food and me! It's about finding a balance innit. No good having all the pennies if you have no time to have fun with it. Great if you are saving for something important though. Only you know your priorities.

I have a 5 year old granddaughter and 2 year old grandson and they are my absolute delight...it took some getting my head around as I still considered myself to be in my 'middle youth' but it's fantastic to be a young grandmother, you still have loads of energy to enjoy playing with them....and you occasionally get mistaken for their Mum which is quite nice! Best wishes to you and your family, let us all know when baby arrives!

Tomorrow will be a trek to Brum with a fab mate to see Elbow. Oooooooh Elbow. I'm really loving the new album. Off to see them in a few weeks. Can't wait. Have a lovely time. They were, as ever, bloody wonderful. For the life of me I do not know how Guy Garvey manages to make a packed arena feel like the back room of a pub but he does. I hate big gigs and would not go to a venue anywhere near that size for anyone else. I laughed, I danced and I cried my heart out.

He's my favourite front man by far. I'm off to see them on Saturday and I can't wait. Glad you had a fantastic time

Travelling down to Brighton for a week on Saturday. A week filled with catching up with family and friends. Haven't spent longer than a weekend down there since 2012 and I'm soooooo looking forward to it. Been in Manchester for 5 years and I'm starting to feel a little homesick.....

This weekend will be spent mostly in front of a TV, with a beer, watching The Masters. Good thing is it doesn't start until late afternoon, giving me time to fit in some dog walking, and a trip to a charity rodeo event at the local vet school. It's not a proper rodeo.

This weekend I'm going to do very little aside from my Tour de France volunteer online training. I'm going to take the opportunity of having bugger all in my diary to spend some quality time with my Kenwood Chef. The thought of this pleases me greatly

True! I think I may as well do as much as I can whilst I'm young(ish) and have the energy - hopefully then I won't have to do so much later on in life. Once the other half finishes her degree and isn't studying all the time I'm sure she'll want me around a bit more often than I currently am haha.

I love my Kitchen Aid. I'd be on a baking frenzy this weekend if I hadn't already filled the freezer. I really want a pink Kitchen Aid blender to go with the mixer.

Mine's cream....I have the blender too...although my daughter used it and burnt the rubber cog smooth....Heaven knows what she was trying to blend!

I went for a timeless classic - stainless steel Chef with a gazillion attachments. It's every possible kitchen gadget rolled into one

My weekend will consist of Elbow, hopefully see Liverpool beat Manchester City and The Masters. I'm also trying to shake off an annoying virus which I think only alcohol can kill

Sleep, earl grey and lots of swearing at the complicated shawl I'm trying to crochet.
And yes, I feel every one of my eighty years old today.
Happy weekend, young 'uns.
