If you could throw a question at Embrace then what would you ask?
Don't bore us with nonsense about release dates and stupid shit. Ask a good question. The band might respond if you ask something cool and sensible.
My first question is probably aimed at Danny and Rik.
Have you written a song that you think that would be perfect for _______?

Do you think you will ever make a truly memorable (to the unwashed) track that is instantly recognizable?. It doesn't have to be a 'classic' or a great song, just memorable. Some examples I can think of off the top of my head are Echo Beach, anything by the Police, Madness, Sit Down etc etc

What made you decide to go back to Danny and Rik doing all the writing? I know, it's a weird one. But you asked

Don't you think it's mad how technology has changed the way you market your new stuff in the time you've been away. Bet it makes you feel like you've been gone 'Decades' Sorry. Seriously though! Facebook, twitter, etc.

Do you "want" this comeback to be like the old days, for example number one albums, top 5 singles etc. or does the slightly low key return indicate that you dont give two hoots and its just about producing the music "you" want to now ?

I hope some folks in the media are reading this thread 'cos the mind-numbing repeat questions on each interview is excruciating. Usually comprises of "why so long?", "how is Chris Martin?".
Anyways, I would ask what their standard response is when they hear their songs being played in a random place i.e supermarket or on the telly

If I remember right, at SG20 Danny said something about 'getting it right this time'. I've been intrigued ever since to know more about what was meant by that really. What do they think they got 'wrong' previously, for example?

Do they regret making This New Day? I know maybe they felt pressure to follow up OON and felt it was rushed and weren't happy with the sound but I think of the two albums together as some of the best stuff they've done and would hate to think they'd disregard the album or choose to ignore it in live shows because there's some great tunes on there I think.

I agree Stephen, I don't think the album is that great as a whole (compared to the others) but there are some really good songs on there.

Yeah I know everyone's really excited by how undoubtedly great the new one is but I think stuff especially like Target, Exploding Machines and Even Smaller Stones would sit happily with the new material easily, would love to hear them live.

I'm guessing that we'll get some more info about this with the album / future videos, but what's the story with the whole White Alien/ invasion/ occupation thing?

Totally agree too. As a huge fan from the start, it was great to see the boys seemingly at the top of their game. TND has at least 5 great songs IMO, and I even have a soft spot for World at Your Feet because i was involved with the World Cup. I'd have been perfectly happy if Embrace had carried on knocking out an album like OON or TND every couple of years, and not disappreared for 7.

My question?
Sorry to dig into something so clearly very personal, but what life event triggered your PTSD Danny?

If you could personally choose someone to do a cover version of an Embrace song who would you choose, what song would you choose for them to cover and why?

I was listening to Nature's Law just now and does anyone else remember around the time of it coming out there was talk of 'Forest Sessions' or something like that, where the band were going to record stuff in forests? Am I imagining it? I know they did a tour of Forest gigs (I was at Delamere), but I could have sworn that at the time of Nature's Law being promoted that there was something along those lines. There was an email that had the piano refrain on a loop. So 2 questions: a. is that correct? and if so, b. did it just get quietly canned?
