I binge watched The Tunnel yesterday. Literally all 10 episodes. A really good watch.

The 2 epsiodes of Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith's Inside no 9 have been absolute genius.

No, I normally like to watch the original first but I couldnt get hold of a copy as easy as the British remake. Is it different enough to bother with?

Line of Duty is back on this week. I am officially excited. And I wasn't disappointed. It was quality.

Been re-watching Parks & Rec from the start again. Just gets better and better on repeated viewing.

I have recently watched A glorious day from leeds 2005, brings back fond memories, I suggest a watch if you have a copy and could not make it on the day. If you were there even more reason to put it on, let's celebrate I also watched it recently - first time in ages and you are right, it did bring back fond memories. It also reminded me of how much beer was being thrown around (as you can see ) and remember thinking I was going to get soaked.

Watched 12 Year's a Slave today. One of the first films for years I feel has deserved the best picture Oscar. There is so much to say about it. Michael Fassbender is despicable. The young lady who played the 'Patsy' character was astonishing.

With the lack of BBC4 Scandicrime at the moment, my tv obsessions are:
- Inside Number Nine - Moone Boy - My Mad Fat Diary - First Dates - Gogglebox

Line of Duty just gets better, Gogglebox was a very welcome return (not at all sure about the new people though) and I got round to watching the first episode of The Smoke last night. I'm not convinced it isn't just a rehash of London's Burning but will give it a few episodes before writing it off.

The following - bonkers laugh out loud unintentionally funny cult/serial killer thriller which is well worth watching for the insane body count, Kevin Bacon taking it all very seriously and James Purefoy having a ball chewing the scenery at every opportunity as the evil Joe Carroll.
Elementary - yeah I know a lot of people will prefer Sherlock and I do love that but the third series was a bit disappointing for me, whereas Elementary is just like a great crime drama and Lucy Liu and Jonny Lee Miller are a great team, throw in Rhys Ifans and Sean Pertwee as occasional cast members and it's well worth a watch, while not earth shatteringly original.
Vikings - surprisingly not as gory or as exciting as Game of Thrones but a good historical romp, not a horned helmet in site and some very fine looking Viking women.

I'm loving Fargo, so dry. I've also started watching The Vikings which is just an absolute gore fest.

24. I can't think of any other genre where something can have been gone for so many years and not only return, but reminds you what you've been missing in the process.
