I know this might sound like a chrispmcfuck question, but can you wash cats... and survive? One of my cats is a right fatso and she can only wash half her body due to her huge budda belly, but she's getting a bit of cradle cap on her back

Charlie's fur got very matted when he was getting on a bit and I ended up having the back half of him clipped. Helped immensely as it sorted out the dander and scaly bits, and his new fur came through all fresh and shiny. Washing him wouldn't have helped at all.

That's a good idea. She loves being brushed, so I reckon I'd be able to get away with clipping her fur. I've tried to put her in the bath before and she just spread herself like a starfish clinging on to both sides of the bath for dear life. She also plays the 'poo in the house' card if I piss her off, so definitely need to go easy on her.

I have to wash Squaddie occasionally. It's traumatic. I try to keep him trimmed now as that makes his life easier as he can't look after his fur the same any more.

Yup, I would highly recommend doing anything you can to avoid washing a cat. I've been there, done that. Won't be doing it again any time soon! Good luck with the little one, hope clipping sorts her out. I wonder how many cats we all have collectively!

Can I count my parents cat? Whisky is 16, and comes to visit when my parents go away, he's here on Monday for a week, so excited!

I've got two cats (although one of thinks she's a dog) and a guinea pig who runs with the cats.

I don't have a cat but I borrow next door but one's cat Sam. He loves our garden which is ok apart from the time he went in our shed and used a bulb tray as his litter tray. Easy mistake to make for a cat I suppose but it took ages to get rid of the cat pee smell.

Cats love boxes. Less so, hats.
