Fair play, vocals are excellent on this. It's got the Embrace anthemic stamp whilst also sounding quite fresh, sounds borderline Radio2 friendly too.

I fell in love with it when I first heard it in November and on the recorded version Rik's vocal is even more fucking gorgeous than it was in the cold dark room!

First impressions: Obviously more electronic sound, don't like the use of auto-tune at the start (if that's what it is) as it obscures the vocal and the lyrics lose clarity. After 30 seconds I was worried. Then the chorus comes in and a huge wave of relief ran over me - obviously as a fan you want the band to experiment and evolve but also don't want them to lose what made them special and I was relieved to hear it was still there. Rik on vocals a lovely surprise - though of course they used the same trick on Hooligan when they wanted to throw a curveball at expectation. Overall I love it as a song and look forward to hearing it live where I expect it is epic. As a prelude to the album my one hope is that we don't get an album that sounds like it has been made on a computer (which Refugees does). I really need to hear guitars and (real) drums. Also I should say that while I think fans will enjoy the video I think they may have gone a little too dark if the objective is to win new fans - it's a little bit "child abduction" at times?!
Roll on 28 April.

A really strong comeback single. Very catchy. Reminds me of a few things. Starts off with a few bars of that Cinematic Orchestra song. First half reminds me of muscular Boxer Rebellion. Like a previous post says, wish I could hear the lyrics a bit more clearly. Love the Delphic style bridge leading up to Danny's bit. Ends with a Coldplay style flourish.
Cracking sleeve.
I can imagine it will be awesome live.
Bodes well for the album. A good start to 2014!

I agree that I can't really make out the lyrics at the mo and am currently making them up as I go along.. Any chance of a lyrics post to prevent future gig song along embarrassment.. Gawd bless ya!

Yeah but that kid turns out to be Danny and maybe it's because I've heard it a couple of times live that it made sense to me. In context with the lyrics he's definitely saving him
