I don't live in the area (from Glasgow), but I am over that way quite a few times since we got married there and just love the place. Any excuse. If we could have got the frozen/chilled stuff home in good time, then I'd have definitely spent a lot more in the shop. The frozen part-baked pain au chocolat looked good for a start. And so many nice bits of meat.

My weekend technically starts after work today as I have Fridays off. I've volunteered to help out tonight and chaperone some young people from one of our projects on a trip to see an opera. I'm knackered and worried I might fall asleep. If they draw on me I won't be pleased.
I won't be doing very much tomorrow, might sort out my clothes, then pass out from the excitement.
Saturday I'm running a feltmaking workshop for a gallery in Leeds. It's one that I always enjoy, I get to work in a lovely space, they've got a great collection for inspiration and we make a big mess. Might go for a drink in Leeds afterwards and have some food with the boy.

I feel as though starts today because I'm not in the office tomorrow. We've got our company conference and awards bash so it's off to a hotel tonight so as to avoid needing to leave home in the wee small hours in the hope of not getting stuck on the M25 in the morning, a day of listening (or not) to people droning on then putting on the glad rags to get hammered and collect the award we've won and the big stack of vouchers that goes with it. Saturday I'll drag my hangover home at some point and in the afternoon I've got Autoglass coming to have a look at the new windscreen they fitted a few weeks ago because every time there's a frost, it freezes on the inside... Sunday I'm going out for lunch with one of the loveliest people I know. I'm really looking forward to it because spending time with her always makes me happy

I'm off sick. I'm so run down and it's really affecting me. I've had next to no sleep all week, a sore throat and a temp. I'm hoping a few days rest will kill it. Sleep is my fave medicine.

After getting over the stress of trying to get everyone in the theatre and sitting in the right seats while getting glares from lots of elderly patrons, I actually really enjoyed it. It was only my third time seeing an opera and had no idea what to expect. It's part of my job to go and see all of them so it's a real bonus to actually enjoy it.

This weekend is all about family as the two funny little boys in this pic turn 17 today. Yes, you may remember them as tiddlers tearing around a field at the Eden gig weekend or stood on a wall at the Leeds Millennium Square gig but as of today they're old enough to be behind the wheel of a car. They don't want cake, instead I have to make two very large lemon meringue pies.

I'm going to the lovely Galgorm hotel and spa for the weekend and cannot wait.
Will be home on time on Sunday to see the mighty Ireland start their 6 Nations campaign.

Tonight is beers with the boys. We will watch Sky Sports News and drink every time someone mentions Harry Redknapp, no doubt.
Tomorrow I take my dad to the football, to watch the mighty Partick Thistle. My dad has a renewed interest in the football this past year or so, and I really enjoy the chance to take him there and spend some time with him. Also gives my mum a bit of a break!
I'm also on good husband duty tomorrow. My wife is going to a ball in Glasgow, so I get to drop her off and pick her up later. Brownie points for me.
Got some Ikea wardrobes to build on Sunday. That's always fun!

Starting to feel a bit better. Sleep really is good for the body and soul. Bit of luck and another good nights rest and I can crack on helping my daughter paint her kitchen and utility. Not been able to go since Tuesday and I feel bad. She just wants it done and in her current condition she obviously can't do it.

I've got a weekend this week - woop! Yesterday involved cross stitch, a brief walk outside and then pizza and lots of cider for a friend's birthday. Today is currently filled with ciderbelly, but should have some wandering at some point, a visit to the cats and dogs home, then tea at Matt's parents later. All nice and relaxed, which is ideal

The weekend comes around again. This week has been a mini disaster with work happenings, car repairs, missed deliveries, other stuff happening.....so glad to get to the weekend.
Relatively quiet one this weekend I hope. Got a couple of wardrobes to build, some mirrors to hang and some general housework. Tomorrow I'm helping shift a couple of sofas, going for a run, and then have a 60th party to go to. Sunday I hope to just chill out.

After a week where I probably should have stayed home and fought off the bastard germ but the nights out were just too tempting, I don't plan to do very much at all this weekend.
The man from Autoglass is coming to remove and refit my new windscreen tomorrow (or replace it if it doesn't come out in one piece) in an attempt to solve the problem with it.
Other than that there will be much sitting around watching rugby and I shall probably do some baking at some point. Rock and roll.

I'm meeting Iain this afternoon and we're heading over to York for birthday celebrations. Out for a nice meal and drinks tonight. Staying over tonight and Saturday. Only plans for Saturday and Sunday are mooching round shops, cake, chocolate...

Like you could reasonably expect to go see kittens and not bring them home! How many are we talking?
