My first post here...
I was reading an interview by Richard last week saying there will be another EP/single to coincide with the album release. With what people have heard of the new songs on the Scottish tour, was just wondering what are your predictions for the lead track to be released. I have only heard a couple of tracks on youbute myself, which aren't great quality but i absolutely love so far!
'In the end' sounds like a cracking catchy tune that would fit perfectly on the radio, a bit like Ashes. The other song I've heard 'Protection' has grown on me the more I've listened to it, and i probably actually prefer that track at the moment. Or for people that have managed to hear the other new songs on the tour, are there any front runners that have stood out? I read an interview that Danny wanted 'I Run' to be the first release ahead of 'Refugees' as its one of the best tracks he's ever written, so I'm well looking forward to also hearing that one.

I disagree. This just links to the box set, something that's already known. Show me a link that takes you to where you can purchase the standalone single. I had heard and read nothing about there being a non-boxset single. Sorry. Not saying you are wrong but where's your proof?

If you look at the description of the 7" on that link it clearly tells you that this exclusive has TWO tracks. Two tracks on a 7" single does not an EP make. Aside from that this is an acoustic version of Follow You Home with an acoustic of Refugees as the B side. Why on earth would the new EP have the lead track from the first one on it? Reading some of your very dismissive posts scattered across the board I can't help but wonder if you even like Embrace. |

And I don't wish to argue with you but yes I do like Embrace - not that I have to defend myself to anybody, though. I may not be an obsessive like some people but that's irrelevant. I don't subscribe to fan eliteness.

Despite what it says over there <--- the last thing I am is obsessive about this (or any other) band.
We will just have to agree to disagree on this one for now and will see who was right when the next EP arrives.

"Follow you home" will have a release it won't be just confined to the box set like lolli said that's just an acoustic version, I have been wrong in the past though but why would they just keep it to certain individuals and spend money on videos and promo?

If word of mouth from the band isn't good enough, I don't know what to tell you. Danny announced it would be the next single before the band played it at more than one of the Scottish gigs. They're also shooting a music video. This is fact. He didn't say, "We're releasing an acoustic EP with Follow You Home on it." He said, "This song's gonna be our next single." You are being bureaucratic and pedantic and pretentious. Stop. Be respectful. |

I am being neither Bureaucratic, Pedantic, nor Pretkentious. Thank you. None of the definitions for those words are altogether fitting in this instance. I simply disagreed (are opinions not allowed now?) based on MY sources. Nothing more, nothing less. But hey, whatever makes you feel more intelligent. I'm done here, I've already expressed my opinion and as Lolli politely stated, let's just wait and see now.

I'm not just going to blindly believe a gig-goers (potentially substance-induced) hazy recollection for them sake of it when I have heard different. Everyone's opinion is as valid as the next until official word is out. I could claim they are doing a cover of "Hit me baby one more time" for their next single and nobody can say I'm wrong unless they can prove it.
