I'm going to stick my neck out and say that it's the first chart hit to feature the word, 'adverbs'.

The I do not hook up one? Completely!!! I definitely thought of "I Do Not Hook Up" immediately. I would never have thought, when I woke up this morning, that I'd be listening to a Kelly Clarkson song on repeat by the end of the day. But here I am. Not ashamed. Okay I'm a little ashamed.

But here I am. Not ashamed. Okay I'm a little ashamed. Always liked "Breakaway" by Kelly Clarkson. Anyway, I kind of like Follow You Home which is as poppy as anything I've heard from Embrace. Its about internet stalking right?

I really like it. I'm not musical, I don't understand codas and middle eights and stuff, but I do love a song I can belt out and sing along to at the top of my voice in the car. This is that song.

I think I prefer it to Refugees, just. I'm enjoying it. I like the contrast between the dark lyrics and the bouncy music. Also loving Decades.

Well sometimes I see an end, disguised as a beginning And sometimes I feel the force of the blow And everyday I take my toe and I dip it in the water Everyday it almost freezes me whole. It looks like i'm off the team A survivor on a screen Like I've got nothing left with nothing to show And there's no reason to pretend your middle name's forgiving I can see you've got a party to throw
I'm gonna follow you home I'm gonna follow you home I'm gonna follow you home
I won't quit while you're ahead I won't pay for what I said You're gonna have to take it out of my nose 'Cause every word just makes me choke makes me sorry that I spoke That's what I get for talking back I suppose. I've been queueing up for this Now my names not on the list And I missed who to call to get to the show Well I don't mean to rush you on I was stood here all along and I've been waiting for a lifetime or so
I'm gonna follow you home I'm gonna follow you home I'm gonna follow you home I'm gonna follow you home
You smashed the glass and set me free But you don't want no more from me your final kiss jammed in the final piece so I could see I wrote you letters I sang you songs But nothing works on you no more I know it's much too late but I can't let go Is there still hope
I'm gonna follow you home I'm gonna follow you home I'm gonna follow you home I'm gonna follow you ...
The words that I wasted were bad adverts All cut and pasted and nothing works the songs that I sang you just made it worse With melodies you don't follow It says on your wall that you're over me You're image an outline that burns my screen But I'm not your stalker it's just my need I said it to see if you'd follow me.

You're gonna have to take it out of my nose Surely that's 'notes' rather than 'nose' or is Danny a lover of Satan's dandruff! Also, love this song. Better than Refugees.

I'm a bit in between all of the preceding comments. I didnt absolutely love it on first play but I do like it, and it's growing on me. It is very poppy for them but maybe that's not a bad thing. Mixing it up a bit. Oh and the chord progression definitely sounds a bit like With or Without You. It also reminds me of a Kelly Clarkson song, which is a bit weird. Finally... The bit where Danny sings "is there still hoooo-oooo-oooope" - BRILLIANT! The I do not hook up one? Completely!!! HB, I think you have mistaken me for someone else looking at your fb post!

Rik's words from FB. I take it to read that you're gonna have to punch him. Seems like the only rational thing to do.

The outro seems to be identical to Refugees when Danny comes in.

The outro seems to be identical to Refugees when Danny comes in. I was thinking that too, they're quite similar structurally.

Anyway, I kind of like Follow You Home which is as poppy as anything I've heard from Embrace. Its about internet stalking right? It's definitely at least partly about Internet stalking - the last part is anyhow.

I can't get past the fact that the song title is a bit - um - stalkerish. Does it make ME a bit stalkerish if that's something I actually like about it? One of my favorite parts is when Danny brings it down an octave and he's saying he'll follow you home all calm and (creepily) serious. Definitely the spiritual sequel to Every Breath You Take. But then it's okay at the end, don't worry, cause he says he's NOT a stalker! Problem solved. Not a stalker, says so himself. Rest assured ladies.
