I truly hope he knew how much people thought of him.

I truly hope he knew how much people thought of him. That's what always upsets me the most. The thought that he died not realising.

I'd struggle to think of anyone who was as universally popular as Paul. I only had the pleasure of meeting him once, but I think of him every week.

1 year already... RIP Paul.
I am sure there will be many a drink and a celebration of your life at gigs. I'll miss you for our chats at the bar X

The last time I saw him was when my leg was still in plaster at a gig in 2009, can't remember what gig it was I can only assume it was Patrick Wolf in London. Anyway, he knocked his can of Guinness all over my leg and inside my cast. Stunk like a brewery until I had it changed! He's gonna be missed massively this summer.

Lots of good memories of Paul at the gigs over the years but the two highlights were dancing for ages at the Disco Shed at Latitude Festival and wandering round Liverpool ahead of Holly and Darren's 'wedding'. Good times with such a lovely guy. I hope he realises somehow how much he is missed. xx
