I'm off to see Arctic Monkeys at Earls Court next month and then The National in Manchester in November. Looking forward to both very much.

Neutral Milk Hotel in a few weeks, in Dunedin. That'll be two gigs in a year. Who says nothing exciting happens in NZ? Sadly, I seem to go to more rugby matches than gigs these days.

I'm a wee bit jealous of all these gigs. Attending gigs is such a big deal for me, flights, hotels, time of work etc. I'm fetching my Mum over to see Sarah Millican in December but that's as far as my live entertainment stretches at the mo.

Bex, is that in Loughborough tomorrow? I tried to get tickets for that for Ande's birthday but they had just sold out You'll have to let me know how he was, I love him! If only I still lived up that way... I'm seeing him in November I think, in the slightly smaller town of Melksham, in a venue that used to proudly display a plaque celebrating the fact Gary Glitter had his first gig there!

Shed Seven - Rock City in December, breast feeding depending... Feeding has put a stop to any plans of gig going for the next few months, but hopefully I'll get to a few gigs in 2014! Seems like forever ago when you could just turn up on the night of a gig and pay to get in on the door. You have to decide months in advance now if you want to go anywhere...

Goldheart Assembly, Suede, Steve Mason and Roddy Frame.
Also considering going to see Vampire Weekend, are they a good live band?
