And my skin is a mess. I've never had bad skin and my left cheek is covered in a spotty, lumpy rash.

And I am hungry. And the wine is not cold enough. And the house is like shit creek. And I've had a frustrating day. And I have done no PhD corrections since Friday.

And I think I broke my little finger today. It's incredibly sore and looks wrong and I heard a distinct crack.

I think I need to change my avatar to something miserable, looking at that and I am annoying myself.

Inventors: discover how to make silencers for cats and you'll be quids in.
Talk about things going crash, bang, wallop in the night.

Don't suppose your last resort is ear plugs or something similar?

Can anyone recommend some hotels or hostels in Bristol please? I'd only be staying one night, so would just need a bed, and possibly a shower. I might be willing to pay a bit extra for breakfast.

There are some chocolate bars I prefer straight from the fridge... I think I only really enjoy chocolate when it's been in the fridge - chocolate bars, chocolate biscuits. A mini mars straight from the fridge and glass of red wine (definitely NOT from the fridge!) = heaven I like my chocolate warm and melty but Burnsey puts his in the fridge, maybe so I don't eat his? He always puts his cream eggs in the fridge which is weird as they are best all gooey. Mmmmm now I want a cream egg!

Don't suppose your last resort is ear plugs or something similar? Earplugs are all very well if the cat can't get in your bedroom - but if they can - not sufficient. One of mine likes to jump on the bedside table and proceed to chuck everything (EVERYTHING) off it, onto the bed. Books, coaster, phone, earrings, watch etc. When there is only a lamp left and I'm still not getting up to give her attention, she has a good go at that too. Unfortunately, earplugs don't drown the sound of a metal pull chain crashing against a metal lamp stand. Over and over. And over. And over....

I'm sure you've probably tried it, but could you use a water spray to stop her being on your bedside table? I don't know if the fact you would then clearly be awake and able to give attention would make her more willing to try knocking stuff off though? I know our cats had the water spray treatment when they would jump into the work tops, stopped after only a few days.

I know people who've used it successfully to keep their cats out of babies' cots.

I am Sharon. Shazpot is no more. I don't know how I feel about this. I don't like change. Neither do I, normally - but this is a good change. I feel Sharon is a more suitable name for a 32 year old So long, Shazpot!
