I'm currently half way through "Children of the mist" which is a historical novel set in the scottish highlands (for a free kindle book, it's not half bad) and on the bus back from Chester, after meeting the man himself, I started "As luck would have it" by Derek Jacobi. I'll have to try and keep his voice in my head as I read though as he was so expressive when he was in conversation.

Currently on the last Game of Thrones book, not that I get much time to read anymore. Love different genres including crime, horror and the odd romance. I am partial to the odd Erica James and Isabel Wolff, Michael Connolly, Lee Child, Dean Koontz and Stephen King.

Does anyone like Harlan Coben? I read Six Years recently and thought it was ok but the ending let it down, I think he could have done much more with it. Not sure whether I can be bothered with the next one I have bought which has been sat on my bedside table for a few months (Stay Close). Is it worth a go?

I'm currently going through Stephen Kings Bibliography as I'm obsessed with his work. Carrie was pretty shit though, didnt like it. My reading pace has slowed down considerably since I started Uni.

The 10 Minute Life Coach by Fiona Harold. The war between self-loathing and self-confidence should soon be over. Spending most of my time in a domestic capacity has just about murdered my ambitions, I badly need the voice of a professional.
I used to love this thread on the old board too. I love reading more than anything else for entertainment. I've recently read Out of Iraq by Lewis Alsamari, a memoir. A shocking account of life under the regime of Saddam Hussein, and how he managed to escape. Powerful and unforgettable.

Shaz I'm a Harlan Coben fan, give Stay Close a go. On the whole, he's brilliant. I'm reading Heart Sick by Chelsea Cain, which, thus far, I'm enjoying (bit gory), and next will be Gone Girl - Gillian Flynn.

... and next will be Gone Girl - Gillian Flynn. Really loved this book! Despite the hype, it proved to be a total page turner. One of the best I've read in ages. I'm going to read 'The Hundred Year Old Man Who Climbed Out Of The Window And Disappeared', I hope it does make me laugh out loud.

I'm trying to avoid reviews of it and it's getting quoted all over Twitter but yeah, I share your concerns. I really want it to be a celebration of Mozza's life and not just an excuse for him to settle old scores. Although, of course, one or two would be fine, Morrissey is always funny when he's at his most cutting. Peter Serafinowicz tweeted this: The clip made me laugh but I've not linked it directly in case you don't want to watch it Thought you might like this. Really funny and from the bits of his book that I have read, it's pretty accurate...

Still drowning in a sea of journal articles that it takes a rare person to want to read them. I'm going to splurge and spend all of Christmas with my nose in my kindle.

Just finished Kill Your Friends. Bizarrely inspiring. I'm waiting for my son to lend me that.I read The Second Coming and absolutely loved it, so I'm looking forward to Kill Your Friends. I'm currently just about to finish The Leopard by Jo Nesbo, who is my current favourite author. Harry Hole is a great, extremely flawed character.

Kill Your Friends is an excellent book, might be due a re-read.
I'm currently reading Survivor by Chuck Palahnuik. I'm really enjoying it. So far it's up there with Fight Club and Choke for me.

I've just started I Heart Christmas by Lindsey Kelk - if you're a chick lit fan and haven't read her already, check her out. Very funny :-)
