The Expats by Chris Pavone I'm still quite early into it so difficult to give much of a synopsis at this stage, except to say that it's a thriller about an ex-CIA agent whose past is going to catch up with her. I got it out of the library after reading a very positive review in the Observer a few months back. I'm enjoying it a lot so far, will report back when I'm done! Finished this a couple of weeks back. Given the tension that had built up before it, I found the ending a bit anticlimactic. Next up is A Visit From The Goon Squad, following a recommendation from a friend.

Shaz I'm a Harlan Coben fan, give Stay Close a go. On the whole, he's brilliant. I'm reading Heart Sick by Chelsea Cain, which, thus far, I'm enjoying (bit gory), and next will be Gone Girl - Gillian Flynn. I love the Chelsea Cain books, I'm in love with Archie. I love the relationship between him and Gretchen.

Just started Chris Hadfield's 'An Astronauts Guide To Life On Earth' and it's already brill.
Ok so my reviewing skills aren't really all that but I think anyone with even a slight interest in anything 'spacey' will enjoy this one.

After the film came out, I bought 'Life of Pi' and it's absolutely excellent. Such an excellent story and beautifully written. 'The Kite Runner' is an exquisite book and so interesting. Great story that has you hooked. If you fancy a quick read, 'The Fault In Our Stars' by John Green is fantastic.

I got 2 books for Christmas which I've finally finished. Morrissey's autobiography & Nick Robinson's Live from Downing Street. Nick Robinson's book is a really interesting book about the relationship between politicians and the media going back to the first days of radio & tv. Morrissey's autobiography was somewhat disappointing for me.

'A visit from the goon squad' wasn't what I was expecting, but it was very enjoyable. 'Gone girl' up next.
