I'm really struggling with buying Christmas presents. I used to be dead good at Christmas, but I can't think of any good stuff. (

I'm really struggling with buying Christmas presents. I used to be dead good at Christmas, but I can't think of any good stuff. ( I'm having similar problems so people are mostly getting make up/skin care sets from Lookfantastic.com or gift vouchers (markies, theatre, Amazon, iTunes). Total cop out. I am going to bake too x

I've been round Boots at least 97 times and most of this years offerings are shit. I've been to Debenhams, John Lewis, online at Beauty Bay, etc.....nothing exciting in TK Maxx either where normally I'll pick up a few interesting pressies. My girls are obviously past the toy stage, they have pretty much everything they need. Phoebe was after a decent record player but it would have to be a reasonable price, so that's my one option for her. And maybe some more vinyl.....

What about Etsy? Sounds a bit daft but if you know one thing that someone likes, a TV show or a band or an animal etc, type that in and see what kind of thing comes up. People make all sorts of amazing stuff - for instance if a family member likes Giraffes, you can guarantee that someone on there would have made keyrings, tshirts, hats, rubber stamp sets, socks, hats, iphone cases, table mats, necklaces, earrings, stationery, wall stickers etc etc in the shape of or decorated with giraffes.
I have found a few things that way that I wasn't specifically looking for if that makes sense. There are some wonderful sellers on there with amazing products.

See also "Breaking Bad", "Manatees", "The Office TV Show" (US), "Fennec Fox" and basically anything in the wedding section.

Never too early for a December 25th thread. Have you done anything Christmas-related yet? I started my cake this afternoon, the fruit is soaking in the brandy so I'm well on schedule and feeling a bit smug. I love Christmas but hate New Year. Talk about Jesus's birthday here (or selection boxes and turkey sandwiches depending on where you stand with the religion business). I listened to a few tracks off A Charlie Brown Christmas today on the way to work. WHAT OF IT.

I like www.notonthehighstreet.com for different stuff too . I've just ordered Andy a onesie. Who knew you got them in giant sizes. I don't think I am a fan if I'm honest . He's going to look like a bit of a prick I think.

I've been round the shops stocking up on the UK Christmas chocolates so the most important shopping is done. Unless, of course, someone wants to send me industrial amounts of Skips and Quavers.
