Provided the weather is nice the plan is to sit on the green across from the venue with beers from about 1pm onwards. We did this a few years back and it was lots of fun! Failing that there is a good pub on the corner right next to the venue. I was there last in February and it was just in the process of being taken over so I'll look into what it's called now and post a link when I find one.

Cant believe its been ten years. Im not going until late this time as im working that day. Think if I started drinking at 1pm I would'nt remember anything by the time the gig actually happened. Your hardcore !

You think we remember the gigs? 1pm drinking is the reason we all went to so many dates on each tour.... We couldn't actually recall going to any cos of all the alcohol

We couldn't actually recall going to any cos of all the alcohol Haha, I have been a victim of that myself many times over the years. Most noticeably when I had waited 4 years to see The White Stripes live at Brixton Academy and got so pissed beforehand I have no memory of a single second of the gig ! Of course, we all get wiser and more sensible with age.............or do we !

Sorry to be so grown up but does anyone know what time Embrace start and what time they finish. I'm going to Shepherd's Bush next Wednesday and need to plan my journey?
Many thanks Matt

Gig times tend to pretty standardised these days, so I'd say they'll start between 9.15 - 9.30 and end around 11.
I haven't been to any other dates etc so might be wrong, but I doubt it!

SBE has an 11pm curfew (10.30 on club nights) so that should help a bit with your plans

Well I hope Danny's voice does not play up on the night, and I hope they do around 20 songs, as the most they have done on the tour so far is 18, come on guys you know you can do better than that, you have an amazing back catalogue, if you are going to do 20 or more save it for the Shepherds Bush concerts. As I really want the three people who are going with me to be very impressed.
Here is my perfect Setlist
Protection In The End Refugees Gravity Target All You Good Good People Follow You Home Natures Law Fireworks Come Back To What You Know Milk And Honey Self Attack Mechanism You're Not Alone A Thief On My Island
Ashes The Devil Looks After His Own World At Your Feet
Quarters At Once Chameleon I Run One Big Family

Shepherds Bush should be the perfect chance to give At Once, and The Devil Looks After His Own their debuts on this tour, I really really hope so anyway.

For anyone thinking about having a few drinks before the gig on Tuesday - "Brew Dog", more or less opposite O'Neill's is interesting and do some quite pokey ales, some served only as 1/2 or 2/3 of a pint. little bit on the expensive side but worth a visit. www.brewdog.com/bars/shepherds-bush

Well at least they are beginning to shake the Setlist up a bit they begun with Ashes at Newcastle on Sunday evening, that is a great song to start with, but keep Quarters where it has been for most of this tour, in the first song of the encore, and please try and add At Once, and The Devil Looks After His Own, for tonight's show and I will be happy, please try and not let us down with your singing tonight Danny.

According to the Shepherds Bush Empire website, they are due on at 8.45pm and it says due to finish around 11pm, if that is so then I am excited, as it would most likely be their longest concert of the tour so far, I honestly really really hope this is true, as they have only been doing 16-18 tracks on this tour so far.

Even more time for you to be disappointed with Danny's vocal then...
