20th February 1997. They were 3rd on the bill behind Travis and The Longpigs who headlined. The very next day I paid a little over the odds for a 7" copy of AYGGP. Been to quite a few since then. Not for a while though.

Tickets officially purchased for all four Scottish gigs. Now I just have to get a flight...and hotels...and a rental car...and figure out how to drive on the other side of the road...
Worth it.

Brilliant, you're going to meet some amazing people and have a blast! I'm a bit sad that I can't get to any of them but confident that there will be many more now

Think it was the corn exchange in Edinburgh, which was always notoriously a bit of a lame venue for sound, but Embrace absolutely got me enthralled. One of those benchmark moments.
Seen them a number of times since, and glad to say they make every one special, never feels like a repeat.
Absolutely can't wait until Inverness, woop woop!

1998 September - Rock City, Nottingham - lovely sunny evening a couple of days before heading to uni. Amazing night - lost about 30 Kg in sweat. Can't remember if last gig was Sherwood Pines or De Monfort - Leices. but, i do know i've bagged my tickets to see them in Birmingham in May - can't wait!

Newcastle Uni 2000, Alfie on support. Brilliant gig, sweat falling off the ceiling and proper crowd surfing. Probably the best atmosphere I've ever experienced at a gig.

Mine was The Brickyard in Carlisle - small venue - brilliant night.... Followed by umpteen brilliant nights before they 'sold out' and started doing the arenas! I'm in Dubai now - would love to see them at the Sandance Festival. If you read these Danny - make it happen!!

First gig was at Brixton Academy in March 2005. Obviously, my mate and I thought they were great so we followed that up by going to Millennium Square, Leeds a few months later. I've seen them 4 times so far.
My mate spoke briefly to Danny and Chris Martin in a bar (North Bar, Leeds it may have been, but not sure) the same w/e. (I was once stood next to Danny in Brighton during the Great Escape w/e of gigs when we were both watching a quite early gig of Reverend & the Makers).

The Fenton pub in Leeds, I think in 1993 (might have been 1994) - whenever Suede's Animal Nitrate had just come out. This might have been their first or second ever gig.

first time i saw them was near Christmas at MEN their opening was darkness and they came on with massive handheld spot lights still sends shivers I was at that show too, seated directly alongside the stage at the MEN, I think they played the first 4 songs in darkness and these were new songs, not sure if it was deliberate or not with the darkness, at the time I thought it was a lighting fault. My first gig was at the Manchester Academy 1 back at the time of Out of Nothing coming out, I was a fan before but never got to see them before this.
